Jason Miller started racing at the age of sixteen. However, Jason's love of racing began early in his childhood while traveling with his father, veteran racer Lee Miller, to various tracks in the area. Jason made his racing debut at Big Diamond Speedway, racing in the Roadrunner Division, for just $50 to win. After two years of competition at Big Diamond, Jason moved on to running two different tracks in two different classes.
Jason continued to race in the Roadrunner Division, this time at Penn National Speedway. Also, Jason moved up to the Street Stock class at Susquehanna Speedway. After several years in Street Stock competition, Jason made the leap to Latemodel racing. For four years, Jason competed at Grandview Speedway on a weekly basis, where he made his presence known.
In just his first year of Latemodel racing, Jason won 3 features, which was the most by any Latemodel driver in 2001 at Grandview. He won Rookie of the Year honors as well as a 7th overall points finish. For the next two years, Jason went on to finish within the top 5 in points. In his last season at Grandview, the Jason Miller Racing team was awarded "Best Appearing Car in 2004" at the Grandview Speedway Awards Banquet.
Jason made the jump to Super Latemodel racing in 2005, making his debut at Port Royal Speedway. Jason competed at the track on a weekly basis and put up some impressive finishes for his first year there. Jason ended the season having 3 top 3 feature finishes, 3 top 5 feature finishes, and 10 top 10 feature finishes. He also had 1 heat win and placed 6th overall in points. To top it all off, Jason earned Rookie of the Year honors at the Port Royal Speedway Awards Banquet for the Super Latemodel Divison.
